South Hill Showdown

October 15, 2008 by admin · 1 Comment

While LC has two losses this season, they could keep their postseason hopes alive with a victory over undefeated Ferris. The injury bug hit them early, the Tigers should be up to full strength and are a dangerous team for the Saxons to be facing at this point in the season.
A balanced attack on offense seems to give the Saxons some problems as evident from the Mt. Spokane and Eastmont game (Ferris’ closest calls of the season). There isn’t a more dynamic offense than the Tigers, who have the arm of senior quarterback Taylor Eglet and the legs of junior running back Levi Taylor. Even though Ferris won last year’s matchup, LC’s back is firmly against the wall for a playoff berth; they’ll be going at a very high level. This South Hill Showdown will take place on Friday (Oct. 24), 8 p.m. at Joe Albi Stadium.
