Northwest League playoffs start tomorrow

With Salem-Keizer clinching last night, we actually know who the Spokane Indians will be facing in the Northwest League Championship Series. The Indians finish up their season tonight at Avista Stadium with fireworks and a chance for a 51-win season.
Then tomorrow it’s the playoffs.
Spokane will host the first two games. Thursday’s game will start at 6:30 p.m. and on Friday the two teams will play at 1:30 p.m. Then it’s off to Salem-Keizer for the remaining three games (if needed).
The Northwest League website has a story on the Volcanoes clinching and a playoff preview of both teams.
The last time Spokane won 50 games was in 2003, their first year as affiliates of the Texas Rangers, when they went 50-26 and took the NWL Championship in a 3-0 sweep over — go figure — Salem Keizer.
If this isn’t a rivalry, I don’t know what is.
